I went to the same workshop as a friend and her ex husband. Her ex husband was hitting on me, I wasn't interested. He couldn't take a hint.
Later, they were on transit in my country, and I had to tell her why I couldn't meet with them for a social meal because any politeness would be misconstrued as interest by him. And I didn't want her to think I was avoiding her.
Now she's angrier [sic] with me.
My friend and I had had a tiff before that workshop due to her disrespect of me, her presumptuousness of my time. She's 12 years older than me and has quite often spoken to me as if I were her employee. She apologised for her behaviour but obviously she hadn't been happy since as she started attacking me with words I had used from the first episode all out of context.
