On average, how many calories do you burn riding a bike?

I have a indoor bike in my house, however, the pedals are very light and if I were to ride it for one hour, I do not sweat whatsoever. Am I burning any calories?

Yes, calories are burned...but not much. Ride it as fast as you can go for thirty second intervals, three times in that hour and see your caloric burn nearly TRIPLE.

In fact, you'll even be burning calories long after you fall asleep!

Interval training brings the FASTEST results...

If you are not sweating or breathing hard you are not burning too many calories. You should have some way of changing the resistance. You want to do a very easy warm up for 10 min and then start pedaling hard enough to get your breathing elevated to where you can still talk but not sing. You want to pedal at 70-90 rpm's with just enough resistance to start breathing fast. You want to pedal 12-15 times every 10 seconds.
