On an '02 Dodge Ram quadcab 4.7 what is the small fan for the a/c called

that is on the drivers side ? That fan keeps stopping. It has power, but unless it's running the a/c isn't working. Is it called an auxillary fan? Does just the fan need replacing or the shroud too?
