On a newer Harley Davidson, how do you clean......?

I went through a puddle of light colored mud and it left spots all over the black carbon coated engine parts, I can't get them off, any suggestions?
Polar Bear...calm down, I like clean and you like dirty.....I understand.
 
You consider your bike initiated and go on and ride the thing. It doesn't belong in an operating room. Its gonna get dirty: deal with it. Gimme a break. I wash and wipe down my bike 4-5 times a YEAR.
