latch. How do i fix this? I have a 2000 Audi a4 model, we tied the trunk shut while carrying a bike. The trunk was notcompletelyyclosedd but it was tied together at the joint where it normally would connect if it would be able to go all the way down. Now it will close but it will not catch. The latch works when you stick a screwdriver inside it but when you shut it, it will not stay closed because it is not (A) closing, (B) opening when normal operations are preformed to it. The alarm is working so i know the sensor is still working but I'm wondering if it isn't something such as (A) the spring is not working, or (B) the anti theft system is preventing it to close. ROFL wouldn't that be funny a system not letting u close it ahhh!!!
thank you, we tried to straten the botom thinge out and it worked!!!
