on a 1994 toyota corolla 5sp 4 cyl with 200000 miles.?

at idling the temp gauge reads normal and the heater blows pretty warm. on the highway at 65mph the temp gauge goes way down to almost cold and the heater is not very warm. I did see some white smoke but i think that went away. the car runs great has plenty of power.
 
head gasket. thermostat have you checked the anti freeze if its low you have a leak either way have the system checked out
