Mike Oldfield's bank balance would probably welcome a Exorcist remake.

I'd wouldn't though,especially if it's as pointless as the Omen one I saw the other week.

A fourth sequel with Linda Blair as the mother dealing with her child or grandchild being possibly possessed by Pazuzu as a result of her being possessed by him in the 70s would work better

C'mon, what's being proposed is a new adaptation of a book. No-one complains about new versions of Shakespeare do they? 'You can't do Hamlet, it was already done with Mel Gibson! And it was...alright.'
Exorcist III is flawed - it was cut to, er, hell apparently - but very under-rated with some classic creepy moments.

The remake can't be any closer to the book than the original was - the original was almost word for word true to the book by William Peter Blatty
