I too would disagree that the film isn't unique, that's it's biggest asset as far as I'm concerned, I've never seen anything like it.
The bits about it that I don't like are probably the bits that make you love it so much, that's what makes the universe so brilliant!
I guess my biggest problem is that it seems to be solely directed at it's core audience (lovesick teenage girls, no offence meant), with very little to offer a wider audience, for instance I know the Harry Potter series of books and films are predominantly for children, but they have an all-encompassing appeal that's sucked me right in, I can't see Twilight doing the same but would love to be proved wrong, as the people involved in New Moon look first class.
