Things have been slipping for a few weeks now and it looks like he won't win but, seriously, Murs in the final? I don't get it. So many times he's been terribly out of tune and given the most cringe-making, gurning, mugging performance that reeks of desperation so much that I actually feel bad for him. But then the judges congratulate him for it! I couldn't believe it when one of them told him (a few weeks ago) to look like he wanted it more. WTF??? He already looked like a stock photo for a holiday camp when he performed, topped off with clenched teeth and fist-pulling when he got through. Now it's just inhumane. Just how much harder can he try? I reckon they could get him to do anything if they said it would make him a superstar.
Top marks for effort but someone's going to have to explain what his talent is (aside from being an office worker who seems like a nice enough guy and REALLY wants it).
Cruel experiment if you ask me but, then again, I never would have thought the emperor's new clothes charade would last as long as it has so maybe it will inexplicably continue. The Big Chiefs at X-Factor hold a lot of power over the public it seems.
