Oldies: Which films still make you cry?

Having recently seen "That'll be the day" again (David Essex/Ringo Starr) after more than 30 years (!) I have also managed to get hold of a copy of the sequel "Stardust" (David Essex/Adam Faith) and it made me cry at least as much as I did when I was 15!

I would like to know which film made you cry when you were a child/teenager and still does when you watch it now. And if not quite cry, then which film affects you in the same was as it did when you were a kid...

But it still makes yuo cry?

I think with Stardust it was the fact that the previous time I saw it I was 15 and it had just been released. My frienRAB and I found it very emotional because we were al a little partial to David Essex (though I cannot for the life of me see why - he was a lousy actor! But the storyline was good for a teenager and we loved it. I think several of us were in tears at the end of Stardust.

I think my tears 2nd time around were due to memories of the innocence of those days. I suddenly felt exactly as I had done when I was 15 :o

It was a strange experience!

The end of Kes always makes me cry with the death of his potential, the inevitability of his bleak future and the fact that nobody cares.

Whistle Down the Wind can get me going.

Les Jeux Interdits is one of my favorite films. Touched me when I saw it as a kid and even more so as an adult. Doesn't necessarily make me cry but every time I watch it it stays with me for months.

I can't watch The Elephant Man at all.

Haven't seen this for years and can't remember how it enRAB. Must watch it again some time.
