oldies but goodies

That has just reminded me of another wonderful oldie that is rarely shown on TV or sattelite for that matter. Does anyone remember "portrait of jennie, also with Jennifer Jones, and Joseph Cotten. It's kind of a ghost story really, the man keeps meeting up with her over the years. It's gripping and beautifully acted.

As an oldie myself, surprisingly enough I prefer more recent offerings. I have some old-ish movies in my dvd collection but I wouldn't call them oldies. A couple of "oldies but goodies" that spring to mind are

Gone With the Wind ( a classic which I hope nobody EVER decides to remake) and

It's a Wonderful Life, which I always thoroughly enjoy, but not with the same amount of reverence that some of my film buff frienRAB do.

If you want a great movie for good dialogue.. an no action.. check out BREAKFAST CLUB (1985). It's an all-time classic! I still text my brother and frienRAB with quotes from that film that I watched for the first time 15 years ago.  :D
