I am a male teen looking for my first vehicle. I'm leaning more toward a pickup. I'm trying to decide between an old Toyota pickup or an old Chevy pickup. I know that an old Chevy will burn more fuel, but how much. All the pickups I've seen are 454 big blocks-Bad Gas Millage. That's my only concern. However the Toyota is only a 4 cylinder and had low power. I would much rather have the Chevy but don't want to pay for gas. I like going offroading a lot and the ability to tow something heavy. I just don't think a 4 c. will cut it. Any tips?? Fuel saving secrets for Chevy??? Torque increasing for Toyota??? Which would you choose??? Note: standard vs. automatic doesn't matter to me. I'd much rather prefer 4x4 over 2x4.
