Old stuff or New? What's your favorite?

Do you enjoy the original old style anime, or do you feel that modern anime plots is what draws you in. Which as better art? Which has the most intriguing plots? Post what you think!:

Older animes, for sure. But that's because I've been out of the loop for so long I haven't been watching the newer ones. I love the newer, cleaner animation style but I don't know as many newer anime as I do older.

I like the modern coz the drawing and colors are way better
while I think that the old are so dramatic or '' sorry all old anime fans '' silly and boring
so yeah Modern Is the Best .

Pretty much sums up my answer. Mid-late 80s anime to late 90s anime is the best in my book.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are some good new ones, but they're the minority.

I like both. Just for instance this past year I've enjoyed shows like FMA: Brotherhood, Durarara, Dance in the Vampire Bund, etc. but I'm also a big fan right now of Urusei Yatsura. My "currently watching" anime include the 80s and 90s as well as the 2000s.

It's hard to generalized between the two groups. I would rather say that I like good anime no matter when they were created. I've seen good older anime and good newer ones, but I've also seen horrible animes from both old and new.

When it comes to plots/storylines, there are good ones that are both new and old. For example, we have Neon Genesis Evangelion that came out in 95. And then we have Gurren Lagann that came out in 07. Yea, they're both Gainax productions, but my point is they're both good as well.

As far as the art style, I prefer newer stuff to older stuff. Animation technology only gets better over time. Sure older anime series have an art style that is very reminiscent/nostalgic, but these days, everything is brighter and more colorful.

The art/visuals in newer anime really draw me in, shows like FMA: Brotherhood, Kiba, Fairy Tail, and Witchblade all look really good. I'm constantly looking for new anime because I love finding new shows to start, but i really appreciate the classics like DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Inuyasha, I can watch them as easily as I could any newer show.

I like the story a lot more of the older ones, although there are some really good stories out now-a-days. The art on the other hand, I like the newer stuff, save there is just some older animation art that you can't beat (too funny to take seriously)
