old sherlock holmes films for christmas

does anyone know if the old black and white sherlock holmes with basil rathbone are on over christmas ?i love these they are my comfort films,the acti:cry:ng isnt brilliant ,special effects are laughable but i love them
 
They are great aren't they, good wet afternoon films, some are better than others, and the good ones are great, the lesser ones still good viewing. Dunno if they're on over Xmas, I did quickly scan the Xmas Radio Times, but don't remember seeing any, I'll have to look again though. I was in Fopp the other day and noticed a box set of about 8 films or more, and it was quite cheap too.
 
Most of the cheap box sets are public domian copies of the films and the quality is terrible.
If you want to buy these films go for the set from Optimum Home Entertainment. All 14 Rathbone films remastered and with extras such as audio commentaries.
Or even the box set from Legend Films. 4 of the films remastered using a new colourising (?) process. It's not as bad as it sounRAB, and certainly light-years away from the colourising of the 80's & 90's.
