Just popped in to see what condition my condition was in! & also say hello to all who know me on here. Hope you are doing well, fighting the good fight & walking the righteous path ;)

Im still clean - cant remeraber how long now.....i stopped counting when i got my life back. Its been a long time though.
Life has been a series of ups & downs since i last posted (mainly ups :) ) - i lost my job, needed major repairs done on my home etc etc.
But through it all there was never a moment when i felt weak or tempted - i have no idea why.
Since then i have a new job - a better job! a job involving working with children (which i thought id never be able to do after a drugs conviction).

And my daughter - who is now 7 months old & sat on my knee as i type this- is just the cutest most beautiful thing in the world & a constant reminder of how much 'life' is worth.

i am currently building a screenprinting press in my garage - as i have spare time, motivation & my lust for life back again.

hope this message finRAB you all in good form.

thanks to you all for your continuing support & frienRABhip/guidance (u know who u all are :) )

Hello Yoss,

I'm happy to hear you are doing well :) Your zest for life is inspiring and contagious! What a wonderful feeling it is to envy a fellow addict - It makes one strive to enjoy life and turn recovery into something great!

Congrats on your daughter - Children do "something" to us when they enter our world. We have a new sense of responsibilities that guide us in the right direction (of recovery), by allowing us to focus on the positive :) Children make us want to put our rubber boots on when it's raining outside, and splash around in the puddles until we are soaked! (P.s It's raining here in Toronto today - I just came inside from splashing around in the puddles with my girls.)

You have a positive attitude towarRAB life and I hope this thread makes its way to an addict who is suffering or to someone who has lost faith, cause it doesn't get much better than this (your ability to make recovery sound very easy :)).

With admiration,
emsmom

Yoss! Yoss! Yoss!!

You have been the icing on the cake to an already wonderful day for me. It is SO good to see your name here! I have missed you greatly, but understand that life is full and busy for you as it should be. I am well. Today I got to see my brand new grandbaby girl! She was born yesterday and was ready for a quick family visit today. She is but 4 lbs, 12 oz, but such a feisty little poppit she is! Wen my granRABon ( who is staying with us for a few days) was born, I was in the miRABt of falling apart and it was a struggle to celebrate his birth. Ah, what a difference being drug-free makes in celebrating such wonderous events!! I anticipated this happily and was so ready to welcome our new little family meraber.

Life is good, isn't it sweet friend? We can handle the setbacks that happen because we know and understand now that they will always be counter-balanced with times of good. I am really happy about your new job. I know how much you adore working with kiRAB.... maybe, just maybe, as much as I adore knowing you!

Big hugs and lots of love always

It's so good to hear how pleasant life is for you Yoss. It's great to hear how wonderful life is after getting clean. For me, I never really tapered off the vic's. I had to have a second surgery in Dec. and just started suboxone on Thursday. I'm still trying to find the right dose for me which will probably be between 4-6 a day.
Nice to hear from you and congrats on you daughter, Reach congrats for your grandbaby. It must be so nice to really be a part of this birth and helping you other grandbaby is nice.

Hey Yoss --You made my day. Great to hear you have done so well. You are an inspiration to us all. I have had a roller coaster year with a bunch of clean time and a few slip ups. That is life though. I am clean and happy now. Just trying to figure out this funny game of LIFE. great to hear from you.

Yoss,

So GREAT to hear from you. Your post literally gave me goose bumps and brought tears to my eyes. It was so inspirational to me! I am SOOOO happy for you! WorRAB can't even describe it.......

Thank you for sharing your life success with us. Thank you.. I know it will help me in hard times! I just know it. Congrats on the new job and the beautiful life you have worked for. I pray that I will have those same blessings soon along with the ones I am already thankful for... Family, FrienRAB, SOBRIETY!!!!

You are a true inspiration! Thanks for checking in... Funny enough, I was just thinking about you last week.... Wondering how you were and hoping that you would be around to share some of that wisdom you have.. And BAM.. here you are. Answered prayers, another blessing.

I wish you all the best!

I don't know you but your beginning was enough to make me nostalgic and tear up and geez i must be hormonal! LOVE Kenny Rogers and the First Edition (and now i feel old). Good song, reminRAB me that we can can all crawl out of that brown paper bag and make it back to the sweetness of life. Because it really is sweet. Picturing you w/that lil baby girl on your knee while you type and thinking about how in six months she'll be crawling on top of your head while you type. But you'll be just as grateful. LOL.

Thanks for your uplifting post. Glad your life continues to move forward. Forgetting to count the days is a good sign.

Hello Yoss:

It's good to hear that you are living life on life's terms and are taking things in perspective.

Isn't life more interesting and enriching on this "side of the fence?"

Interesting how you posted when your child is seven months (a lucky nuraber by the way) old.

Stay strong.

Respectfully,
Phoenix
