Old Firmware

I recently upgraded my 8700g to 4.2.1.91 and hate the new look. I want to get the old theme back and also go back to 4.1.0.346. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the software to download. Also can I go back to the 4.1.0.346 from 4.2.
 
you can go back, but you would lose all the new 4.2 stuff. Generally when I want to go back i download the software I want to go back to, install it and delete the folder for the old OS and the vendor file. Then hook up the BB to DM and let it roll.

What theme are you looking for? There are a variety of themes on the BB by default, you might check under options themes for what you are looking for before giving up on 4.2
 
I am not sure I really hate 4.2 but I do hate the theme. I want it to be exactly like the 4.1.0.346 that came with tmo. That is the Wing on the top that showed all the functions, Battery, Network, Radio power (I can see them without my glasses). I guess I am being anal but that is what I like. I have been plying around with the plazmic theme builder 4.2 but it only addresses 8100. I can't seem to get any other bb theme parts. Also I would build the wing if I knew where to find the stuff.
 
The theme you're looking for is called "Dimension Icon" and it is included with the 4.2 OS for the 8700. Go to "Options" and scroll to the bottom of the list, and choose "Themes". It will be listed there; simply choose it and you'll be set!
