Old film recommendations

I saw In a Lonely Place the other day on TV. That was quite good. Not the best, but enjoyable performance from Bogey. Also Inherit the Wind and Adam's Rib are favourites. Plus It Always Rains on Sundays (British) and It Should Happen to Me and Solid Gold Cadillac (Judy Holliday). Oh, other British ones - Green for Danger, Canterbury Tales and the wonderful Ghost Train. Later ones in B&W still are Woman in a Dressing Gown (really sad) and Tiger Bay.

You're welcome. Here are a few more:

The Seventh Victim

Cat People

Curse of the Cat People

The Leopard Man

The Bad & the Beautiful (it's from 1952 but it's heart is in the 40s and it's based on the life of Val Lewton who produced all the above movies)

Island of Lost Souls

Alias Nick Beale

Wish it was on TV next week. I feel like watching it! Halfway House is hard to find. A couple of years ago I found a small business that copied out of print films onto DVD for about

Jeanette McDonald / Nelson Eddie films are worthy of your collection cymrugirl ... if you like Fred Astaire and Deanna Durbin, you'll love those

Just noticed Tiger Bay is on TV tomorrow afternoon, for anyone interested. 12.15 BBC 2. Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte is on Sky Anytime in HD, too.
