Old Compression Fracture

When I was 16 (im 36 now) a fall from a tree resulted in a compression fracture of the T5 vertebra (I think. It might be T6. Its right between the lower half of my shoulder blades anyway). One side of the vertebra (my right) is squashed thinner than the other so my spine causes my right shoulder to be at a lower level than my left. Its not real obvious, maybe an inch or so.

I didnt find out about this until I "threw" my back out in my early twenties and I got X-rayed by the chiropracter. He popped it back in a few times but ever since that I get sharp jabbing pains (like someone driving a nail between the bones) periodically. If I lie on the floor and get in a sit up position and pull just my head up off the floor I can pop it, I guess doing that stretches out my spine. It takes the sharp pains away if I can pop it which only happens about half the time.

As I get the sharp pains more and more often and it aches pretty much all the time. The ache is dull and bareable but the sharp pains can take my breath away and I cant do anything until I attempt to pop it.
Does anyone know about or had experience with compression fractures? can it be fixed? I'd be more than happy to have surgery if they could fix it.

Ouch, it sounRAB very painful. I would go to your family doctor and let him do an MRI and then send you to a specialist to have this worked up. Good luck.
