Old Black and White Films

Personally I would say the afternoon schedule currently repeating crime dramas to hell and back or ITV 2 had plenty of space that could be better used.

Come on over! :D I'm sure we agree on loaRAB, really! If I replied to those fav FMs threaRAB, I'd put you on there. Favourite Sunday we afternoon film has to be It Always Rains on Sundays with the wonderfully named Googie Withers!

Other greats: Tiger Bay, The Letter, the Nanny, Fallen Idol, Victim.

And whoever mentioned a Taste of Honey, that's a sublime film!

Yes, I'm pretty sure that was. Does anyone remember the Magnet? It used to scare me when I was a child. The Iron Lung! It's described as a comedy but I found it strange and eerie.

"She gave me water!":D

Agree......Maureen may not have been the best actress ever to grace the silver screen but the camera loved her and she looked the part!

I loved Maureen O'sullivan as a child and wanted to move to the jungle to live with her in that treehouse that Tarzan had knocked up for her.........It had better facilities than the house i was raised in!:D

Last weekend I had a B+W blast, I watched all the original Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers and then worked on the original Frankensteins. I like those old B+W sci-fi Classics, the day the earth stood still, Quatermass and so on.

Is Suspicion the Hitchcock film with the glowing glass of milk?

That's excellent anyway (the glowing glass of milk film) I won't spoil the ending for you but Hitchcock was made to add a bit on so it wouldn't upset audiences!
