So I bought a new SIM card for the old AT&T network, called AT&T Customer Care and tried to activate the new SIM in my Treo. It did not work. After being on the phone for two hours and talking to five different people, I was told I had not choice but to migrate over to the new network.
I said I wanted to keep my old plan yada yada yada but they said everyone on the old service would have to change by the end of February. Gave me this song and dance that the gov't was forcing ALL mobile phone companies to get there networks and customers up to par.
They were not willing to give me a "bone" or anything else to migrate. There were no special offers. If they had given me something to reward me for being a customer for seven years, I would have migrated.
Any suggestions for me to keep my old plan?
If I go with a new Blackberry 8820, it will cost me $300 thru AT&T.
If I go with a new Blackberry 8820 thru Let's Talk Wireless, it will cost $150.
Seems like current customers get shafted. They only care about NEW customers.
Any thoughts?
