okay, some xbox 360 questions?

im thinking of buying myself an xbox 360 for christmas. however, i need to asured that in the future, that more games would be made, ect. So tell me, has the 360 reached its "golden age yet?" what are some hot games being released in the future?? Will there be any new features via firmware update??Also, are there any new devices comming for the 360?? ex: a new controller??

and what are the prices for the xbox 360 standard and elite versions???? thanks
