Okay so I think my phone is being tapped...?

Ok I have had thoughts about this since my friend got my phone number. Ever since then, it sounds like someone is mowing their lawn in the distance whenever I am talking to someone. Sometimes, It will roar so loud I can't hear what the other person is saying. Is there any way I can tell if my phone has been tapped by someone other than law enforcement?
 
No, i think it's more likely that your phone is slightly broken or the other person's is, because if someone was tapping your phone, I doubt you'll be able to hear lawnmower sounds.
 
I dont know, however if you suspect that your phone is tapped then you can get a scanner to check.
 
land lines usually get interference with other landlines...I use to hear my neighbors entire conversation but i could never hear the other person just the one side...its not tapped the lines are just crossing !!!
 
Have your phone company cofirm your line's integrity. Most of the time buzzing like that is just a bad connection somewhere.
