Okay..now that the hype has died down a bit..lets nitpick TDK

It was TOOO long. They could have trimmed at LEAST 30 minutes off it...there was no need to get into the two face angle as much as they did... they could have stopped his story when he was in the hospital. Save the rest for another movie. In fact it would have been a good opening for the next flick.

I didn't think it was too long, it was funny though how he'd knock 12 guys in a row out with 1 hit to the face each, and yet when he slammed his fists into Joker's face several times nothing happened. There were just a few parts that could have been re-written or directed better I thought.

katie holmes not reprising her role as rachel kinda threw things for a loop since maggie g. didnt have any chemistry with bale in this flick...shit holmes BARELY had chemistry with bale in Batman Begins..

so the whole "torn between two lovers" angle just didn't ring true...

Why was harvey so pissed at Gordon? The boat stuff didn't make any sense. The joker warned that the bridges and road weren't safe so everyone just decided all aboard the cruise ships without inspecting them Did i miss something? I even thought i heard the cops talk about how they didn't find anything on the bridges. What was the deal with Morgan Freeman's morals against using the sonar technique to find the Joker? What caused him to suddenly gain a conscience?

Because Harvey repeatedly warned Gordon he had dirty cops in his unit but he never took action and because of that Rachel died.

Joker basically told everyone to get out of Gotham that night because he was gunna cause complete havoc, so those boats were a quick way out.

Fox has always had a moral standpoint about this, it was also commentary on the US patriot act and how much of an invasion of privacy it is.

The harvey thing makes sense now.

I could have sworn the joker mention something about not taking the bridges or tunnels. The ferries were just a stupid idea. If you are fearing terrorist activities, placing everyone onto a few ferries is a terrible choice.

I still don't get Fox's morals. It's cool to help Batman even though part of the process leads towards innocent people getting killed. But it's not cool to use their cell phones to help track down the criminal mastermind. Did the ending imply he quit? It seemed like he destroyed the device so that would lead me to believe he will be sticking around for another film

oh, and the whole Heath Ledger thing He did a good job, but it's not like he gave the best performance of all time. Depp's Jack Sparrow > Ledger's Joker

i think the joker literally said "the bridge and tunnel crowds are in for a surprise" surprise! nothing on them.

the cell/sonar computer was programmed to self destruct once he typed in his name, fox just didn't know that. fox didn't know anything about it until batman (not wayne) told him about it and what to do when this was all over. i think the ending implied that he was happy with batman's premeditated decision to not continue using the technology once the joker was found. the computer was already programmed to blow before fox made his threats about quitting. i think this is why fox smiled as he walked away when it was melting down, he knew that bats wouldn't continue to cross the line like that.
