ok so.. OS. most games are still 32bit. is it worth getting a 64 bit OS like vista?

if i get a 32 bit OS, my max memory for the MOBO would be 4GB and only 3GB would really be able to be used so.. is it really about the GPU and processor and not the amount of RAM that makes a game run well?

i want to be able to run microsoft flight simulator X in full res which i hear is almost impossible to do because it is so graphic intense.
