Ok so is it genetics and race when it comes to sports or just training and dedication?

i believe its both, because through natural selection, the stronger ones or the ones more suited to the environment would survive, and those genes get passed on.

Caucasians (of European Origin) dominate the big majority of events in summer Olympics and almost all Winter Olympics, because of economic factors and because they have better opportunities, i will accept that but.................
Take a look some stats here
Sprints-Almost always dominated from black athletes (who their roots come from West Africa originally )
Middle distance-Arabics and Nothern Africans
Long Distance-East Africans
Field power events as discus, shot put, javellin etc-All caucasian of eastern European ancestry
Swimming-Heavily Caucasian dominated
Gymnastics-Heavily Caucasian dominated of eastern European origin,Asians excel always as well!
Wrestling-weightlifting-Heavily Caucasian dominated

i can go on for ever, but is not all this true??
Well i can always find exceptions as Wariner or Borzpv or Menea,in running or some black swimmers etc etc but exception confirms the rule does not it?

it could just be that some races train for different sports more.. but what your saying could make sense but if you trained hard there shouldnt be a big difference.

i think that training and dedication could make you really good at a sport. but it could be that some people af a different race can be built differently than other people. like black people are naturally bigger than most. chinese are smaller than most. ...

thats just my theory though. but the other guys right. it could be that certain races just train more in a certain sport.
