constantly calling completely overrated? or terrible?

And if they are actually really overrated or terrible, don't comment. :P

Please explain why this band are not overrated or terrible, and try to make a good argument to make people shut up for good. :)
 
ok, the doors are amazing.

and people who are banging on them because the amazing jim morrison was a sh** faced drunk, are wrong. because he was a lot more and always polite and kind unless drunk (which was not all the time, by the way)

The doors have amazing songs, started a revolution, and have the sexiest front man in the whole world.

I love there music. and always will.

also, people who bang on floyd about there songs not making sense just arent smart enough to process the amazingness of the song

Disturbed and Slipknot

I don't care what others think but I still like them no matter what. To me they still have talent.
 
Linkin Park ok they grew as a band they decided to try something new. People call them crap and say they have sold out. How have they sold out by exploring new genres by thinking outside of the box. They are still selling records many people including me love Minutes To Midnight. They went deeper into their lyrics and people call them *emo* because of that. They are still holding strong and judging a band by the genre they are associated with is stupid. A lot of people say they are overrated and were never good to begin with. I love Linkin Park they are one of my favorite bands.


Hawthorne Heights people just call them crap. I like them they are a good band. They get crap because they are *emo* big deal a lot of people are if your going to judge that's your problem. They are really good. Their songs are deep and sen a message of we don't really give a crap about what you think about us. Which is how I feel. Their songs got me through a lot.


Three Days Grace many people consider them *emo* sell outs. First of all they are alternative/Christian rock. I get crap for liking them all the time. People consider their songs talking of nothing but drugs and suicide. So because I listen to them I'm a druggy and I have thoughts of suicide. No I like them because their music helped me during rough times in my life. This band helped me figure out things that were going wrong in my life. I got throught a lot of pain with this bands songs. The song Just Like You described the relationship I had with my father.

MCR I like this band. I understand what fans say when they say the songs helped them because they have helped me. I think Gerard Way is a talented musician who gets a lot of crap because MCR is overrated and to popular. I am not obsessed with them but I do like them.I have heard people actually say you listen to MCR what you gonna kill yourself now. That is just ignorant and stupid. I think people don't give them a fair chance. I know why some of the fans say they owe their lives to this band for saving them. They mean the music saved them the band helped them get through a lot. The lyrics in the song and the message the song sent helped them. I think people should back off the fans and this band because like I said their songs helped me get through many things and the lyrics do have a deep meaning.
 
The Doors. A lot of people love them, but you always get the comment about them being "one of the worst bands in history" or "Jim was just a drunken pretty boy moron." I personally think they were brilliant, and created some of the best rock music ever. And Jim was a poet, sure he had a drinking problem, but he wrote/sang great music and was extremely intelligent! He was a rock god, and anyone who thinks otherwise is musically retarded.

AFI, they have come a long way, since 1991, none of the boys had any musical experience yet they managed to succeed creating their first EP and later their first album, their lyrics are quite amazing, and Davey is an amazing vocalist.
Most people that say they suck or they hate them have most likely only hear Miss Murder and yes I do admit the song is not their best work, but had it not been overplayed I'm sure people would appreciate that song as for the rest of Decemberunderground, not all the songs sound like that and if you are a fan you know that no two AFI albums ever sound the same because the boys are constantly changing their style and don't want to stick to making albums that all sound the same unlike some other bands.
Another thing is that Davey is not 18 years old anymore and people do mature over the years, so it's not like he's going to be singing about cereal or mowhawks like he used to when he was a teen.
They are a TALENTED band and don't deserve to be bashed so much because of ONE or two songs that aren't very good.
This is my favorite song by them because it has great lyrics, they reach out to tons of people.

i hate it when people say iron maiden's overrated and that only posers listen to them. it pisses me off.
 
The Beatles. Listen to their music when they were constantly high, and try saying they suck! They so impacted the psychedelic movement to the maximum!

And Avenged Sevenfold. But there is no longer any argument there, I can see why people think the way they think about them, but I'm not going to stop listening to them just because someone told me to. If I was going to do that then I would probably have stopped listening to Rock all together by now.
 
I like MCR. A lot.

It's not their fault some of their fans are as annoying as Jonas Brothers fans.

People keep saying Judas Priest is a band full of queers, and it makes me mad. I love that band!
Their music sounds good to me, and I really love the way Rob Halford sings, he's a cool singer.
I hate it when people say Def Leppard sucks and is overrated!
They keep saying the Def Leppard made too many ballads, NOT TRUE!
THEIR SONGS ARE GREAT! They are tuneful, and about love and about how they want to rock'n'roll!

They say they only got more publicity because their drummer only had one arm, but I only admire them more for that.
That drummer only deserves more credit, for continuing to play the drums after losing an arm. It's amazing!
I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE INSULT MY FAVORITE BANDS!
 
if you think the beatles are overrated, please stop listening to their teeny bopper days and listen to how they got the first ball rolling on the psychedelic rock movement
