ok, lump in arm, then pain, now unexplained pain in other arm?

hi all, i'm a mother to 4 children, and am 30 years old. about 3 months ago i was treating myself to a massage, when the lady who was doing it felt a hard lump in my upper left arm. ITs around my biscep area. Anyway she continued to 'feel' both my arms in that area, i guess to compare them, then she told me have it checked out. I (stupidly) didn't think it was anything really so left it alone. Then about 2 months ago i started having pain in that area. I cannot lift anything heavy and sometimes my arm just gives way. I went to the gp who said it doesn't feel like a cyst or anything, but it does feel like its nearer to the bone, its not just under skin surface. He said he would send in a letter to see a surgeon doctor in the hospital about it. I haven't recieved an appointment yet. Now i have pain in my right elbow. I know its obviously on a different arm, so can't be related but the pain only started about 5 days ago. Its not a constant pain, and i don't feel anything at all if my elbow is bent, but the minute i straighten out my arm the pain is there. What could be going on guys!!
