ok is the marines boot camp sort of like football practice
im going in the fall and i need know what ill be expecting
i played football and i can pass my ist with flying colors
i need to know from people who have been through boot camp and can compare it to footbal practice

besides with the yelling drill instructors and no pads untill pugil sticks

In a way I guess recruit training is like football practice, except literally 10 times harder...
Marine corps recruit training is by far the hardest, strictest, and toughest "boot camp" of all of the branches of the military.

Now some people might disagree with one of the answers saying to watch a marine movie, but that is actually a good idea. Yes it is a movie and stuff, however it does show what real recruit training can be like...

Try watching the begining of the movie Full Metal Jacket, or the start of Jarhead...That is recruit training.
