Ok, Im really stuck, I need help with and LG EnV?

Sweet! Thats totally rowdy Juan! Glad to hear it! That PRL rocks huh?? WAP comes up way faster for me with it and I don't get the "network connection lost" error like I used to.
Isriam I don't see the icon on my display to say that I am roaming so I would guess that I'm not. But it is kinda freaky that I can send a text as a picture text and it will go through 99 of the time but like I said when I try to send as a regular text message I can't get it to send I get "Message failed would you like to try again" I push OK and it fails 3 more times then gives me an error message something like "Message not delivered general problems"
 
If it wont *228 you manually set up everything. MIN, MDN, SID and load the PRL and it will work. All *228 does is setup the prl, min,mdn, and sid usually just like you do manually.

I still sell ENV's but I have to have the MIN, MDN, and SID for where the person lives because they won't *228 anywhere i've tried.
 
Go to Settings&Tools>(9)Phone info>(3)Icon glossary. It appears as a solid triangle in the same area where you see EV....1X etc, etc etc. I don't see it there so not roaming right?? And My phone isn't searching for signal at all I have full EV and 1X at the moment. IF I do have to reinstall the factory settings What all am I going to end up losing from my phone?? With BitPim can I safe my info to a folder and then reinstall after I set back to factory?? Will it remove my flash so I have to do it all over again?? :befuddled
 
by the way i've bought new phones, used ones, and even canceled my entire cricket account and created a new one. its something to do with the phone. after it OTA's once or twice, it never will again on cricket. I've even put it on verizon and *228 then back on cricket and still no go.
 
Actually you're right, I'm wrong. I was drunk or asleep or something.

Text uses your MDN/MIN to send, because it actually travels on the overhead, has nothing to do with WAP or MMS. If its not working then something is screwed up on your account or your phone.

You can't set the phone back to factory settings, just restore defaults which change your pics, ring tones, things like that.

Maybe try another phone and see if text works? If it does, then I'd reprogram the phone or try another NAM for your line.
 
Factory settings just puts your phone into a "out of the box" phone. But, the PRL, Contacts, and all info stays intact. But things like pic's, (i think music too), videos, and other things get erased
 
Ok here goes....I had my LG EnV working great totally flashed to cricket ie Brew,WAP, Text, Pic messaging and even had the 1050 PRL working so have EVDO. Heres what is going on now...text won't send unless as a picture message no longer get WAP cuz for some reason my settings have reverted back to verizon on my phones service menu. How come it has done this?? This is twice now! And what really sucks is at the moment I am not at home so can't use my computer with LG downloader etc to try and reset it. I try to edit from the service menu but it wont let me edit anything manually....Anyone have any suggestions??
Oh I have the orange if that helps any VX9900 firmware T99VZo02
 
go back and hex edit your paramtable1.fil file to make sure that the value of the 3rd byte is 20...

reprogram all of your settings again via lg download application (nam, wap, data, mms, etc.)...

now your device should be working...if you are still having the original problem of texts not sending and you have verified that you mdn, min and sid are all set correctly in your nam settings, then call cricket and have them refresh your account...

you should be good to go...
 
KK gonna try all that again ! Thanks for the advice random! One silly little thing though....the last time I called Cricket to try and get them to refresh my account the dingbat I talked to told me it was impossible for me to have my LG working on Cricket in the first place because Cricket doen't support the EnV at all and he said I had to go into a cricket store and ask to have it fixed there. Did not make any kind of sense to me whatsoever! Why take it to them if as he is claiming "Cricket doesn't support LG EnV at all??" Did I just happen to get an idiot ??
 
you definitley talked to an idiot, which happens all too often...

i called the other day to setup an account for my girl and they told me that i could not activate a mogul over the phone, that i had to g into a cricket store...that was after i told them that it was "CPE" because the rep didn't even know that they had a model selection for non-cricket hanRABets...

then after explaining that i have activated 4 other moguls on new accounts for customers in the past week, the rep continued to read from a script and tell me that i had to go into a store...i had to ask to be transfered to a supervisor and sure enough, they activated it with no problem...

cheap bill = bad customer service.
 
I didn't want to step on anyones toes with that but Hot Damn!! Why can't I ever seem to get a rep wit a brain! I know they are out there chrissake ! They gotta be or who is in charge for real at cricket????Scary thought eh???
I had found a thread here once upon a time that had direct nurabers or somesuch to repair tech for cricket....I just can't for the life of me remeraber where it was (yup tried to search....do you think ignorance can be transfered through my telly??lol)
And I just hate being told that you cant do that when obviously I did do just that and have an idiot still insist it can't be done....grrrrrr! Maybe I am just a major biatch but if they are gonna get paid to answer the phone seems like they should maybe be able to differentiate their behind from a hole in the ground eh?? :allred: :goodness: (did I say that??? LOL!)
 
Aye thats right so you did eh?? Duh! I hate not being on my own computer where I have everything all nice and neat and in its place!! I have a dang folder for everything I think and one of them is bookmarks with posts from this forum and that thread is one of them.....Thanks random . I do appreciate your help and tis way cool that I don't seem to be sittin with my thurabs in my ...ahhhhh .....well you know where...waiting for an answer. ~sighs~ Maybe it is like Barney said after all "Remeraber Boys and Girls....sharing is caring" ew ew ew I can't believe I just remerabered that.....I hate Barney! LOL!!! It is my kiRAB fault!!! they made me a barney birabo for 3 years (till they outgrew it thank god!!!)
