I think dad wanted mom to commit suicide so he wouldn't have to support us.
This is affecting my school, it's so bad I can't concentrate. I can't talk to my teachers or counselors. No one understands how horrible this is.
My dad took out a restraining order against me, my siblings, and my mom. Mom didn't go to court as she wanted to protect us from my dad, and his girlfriend, sitting there accusing us of things we didn't do. (We live in another state from them).
Dad got a 5 year restraining order against us all. Mom went to try and get it set aside a few weeks later. The judge said to her "Your kids are adults". Mom said they're minor kids and the judge almost shouted at her.
Is this what a judge behaves like when they've made a mistake?
The judge kept the order in place, even though dad was the violent one. She didn't want to look like an idiot I think!
What can we do? Can mom appeal? It's not like we want to see our dad, we all hate him now since he did this. But it's horrible having a restraining order and there was no reason for it, except dad being nasty and avoiding child support. Mom never got any, she nearly had a breakdown she was so upset after going to court. The judge was nasty to her.
I'm so glad we didn't have to go to court too but it was almost too much for mom.
There's no child support order so he doesn't have to support us. Mom's too scared to go to court, he might kill her if she tries to go back to court.
