ok i got a sidekick lx 2008 i need help with aim!?

ok i dont have internet(long story) and i want to go on aim but it wont ,it looks like its loading but never sighns me on... b4 the sidekick i had a razer that sighned me on ....then it brooke and i used a samsung little phone that is white and silver it would look like its loading but it would get timed out and wouldnt log me on....so what do i do to go on aim...do you need internet?PLZ PLZ help or should i call t-mobile?but my mom didnt know i go on aim i dint tell her because she would be like do i have to pay more(i have unlimited texts but my mom only lets me use 500 a month[i use more]lol)so please just help me!
