Ok how to deal with an arm cast, when going to a big school dance?

Ok so my bff just fractured her arm and has to get a cast 8 days before a big school dance. She's regretting wanting to go but I really think she should go. So any ideas how to deal with the cast, and make her feel more comfortable dancing with it and stuff. Also any ideas how to decorate and make it feel personal, yet express her
PLEASE HELP I WANT HER TO GO!!

Other details her dress is redish pink and her cast might be pink or purple
 
have her wear like a really cute scarf around her shoulders that is really long and can cover some of the cast
 
Drape one of those flowy/gauzy scarves over the cast, in a color matching the dress.
 
Accessorize!!!! Dress the cast up with some matching sequins or something along those lines. Having a cast at a dance is no big deal, have fun with it!!!
