Oil spilling will fuck us up

Not quite but they are close. They are going to be doing this top kill procedure over the next day or two. It's just temporary. I think they still need to dig those relief wells and the earliest that might be done is August.

Let's see

1...We need oil. Everything around us uses oil products in their manufacture.

2...Econuts and politicians block drilling in easy to reach locations like desolate tundra or even shallow offshore sites where divers can reach the drill heads.

3...Oil companies forced to go to deep drilling to get oil since that's the only place not blocked.

4...Accidents in hard to reach places cause bigger problems because of location of wells are out of reach due to depths and pressure.

Had this happened at a drill site in Alaska, it would have been contained in a day or two. But noooooooo, can't drill there because of the econuts forcing us to get oil from deep sea locations

GENIUS!!!

After this incident, drilling in Arctic waters is going to be delayed quite a bit. I think the issue lies not with drilling per se, but with BP. They do not have the best track record when it comes to safety

All they had to do was not put the fire out, a well can't handle flowing at that rate for long. It would have bridged off, the fire would have gone out and the rig would still be floating.

it was showing considerable leakage two hours ago i see now that the ROV has been moved
