I have a 94' Toyota Celica and i always performed an oil change every 3000 miles.
I just now noticed that When i changed the oil, the "used" oil only gave out about 2.5 quarts. I initially put about 4.2 quarts in... I want was wondering if you guys could tell me what happened to the oil??? I tightened the screw to the car VERY Tightly and also, the filter was tightened.
I talked to my father (Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Bachelors in Software Engineer NOT Automotive Engineer, but he knows some automotive engineering), He said that "old" cars leak oil in the muffler/exhaust because the engine is worn down...I was wondering if this is at all possible. It sounds that this could happen.
