Oil in my antifreeze reservoir, 88 Chevy 350 minor overheating issues as well?

Hello all, I just found what appears to be oil in my antifreeze. The reservoir tank is just about black with a sludge around the top of the tank, although it looks fine with just the radiator cap off. I am also having a minor overheating problem. Every time I start it up it gets up to about 230 degrees and then drops down to 150 after a bit of driving. Heating works just fine. Just had the water pump replaced because it exploded antifreeze everywhere so the antifreeze is only a few weeks old as well. It doesn't appear that I have any antifreeze in the oil. Any ideas on what kind of issue I may be looking at here?

Also had antifreeze leaking on top of the engine, mechanic tightened the intake down more and it stopped. Could this point more towards the intake gasket?
