Ohlins internals for Showa on 1098?

I'd do that but I'm so far from home and home is almost as far from the bike. I'm kind of limited to solutions that involve the dealer being able to order and install it.

I must add that I HATE when I can't be there to take care of these things myself, a casualty of working on the road most of the year.

I am sure there are lots showa forks here in the forum. Try to ask in market section since I have read so many people upgrade to 803 here in the forum. Like myself having pair of 1098S forks sitting in garage for over a year now....

I appreciate that, if the dealer can't do anything for me in a reasonable time I'll try that for sure.

If I do get home next week for a week or so I'll have more options.

My dad is building a vintage 450 road racer for me in my home town of Great Falls. I buy parts on this forum and on ebay and have them sent strate to his house. Just select a new adress on paypal.
Would your dealer be up for that kind of thing?

Not sure, this is my first dealing with them since Goodtimes lost the Ducati endorsement. I'm going to call them back tomorrow about an update and I'll feel them out for that. There's also the huge complication of getting things into Canada without paying quadruple the shipping. For my SS engine I had a friend who keeps a US UPS box order it and he drove across the border to pick it up when it came in and I drove down to give him the cash for it.

Just to give an example shipping for the maxim fender I need for the Yammy is 14 dollars shipped with in the US, 40 to cross the border. The engine would have been just under 500 to ship the extra ten miles over the border versus the 140 we paid to have it shipped to Buffalo and await pick up.

To do it this way I'd have a lot of other parties involved.
