Oh, What The F*ck?

Yep.

I was talking to some girl the other night who told me she doesn't really listen to any banRAB and just whatever's on the charts. Fair enough I guess. I certainly couldn't see myself living like that though.

I've come to realize that 99% of people outside of rabroad are just plain not worth talking to about music. Which is why I spend time here. Hell, just yesterday my roomate said anything with a drum machine is automatically bad. I raged.

Wow, that really sucks. The music scene in my town is close to none existent, but I've socialized and drank my ass off to meet the few people I've found. Ironically, none of which attend the college I do. I meet people at local shows all the time, but you're right - these folks are hard to come by. It's almost to the point where I'm overly excited when I meet someone of interesting taste in music and come off as a complete ass. Also, I can see where your roomate is coming from, but I don't put it off as terrible music. For example, Buckethead - drum machine galore, but the guy can rip.

They provoke sex. With 13 year old girls. So the music is about sex. :finger:

Do you think she knows there are banRAB other than whats in the top 40?

Those three things have kind of been a part of popular music...for...well, let's just say longer than you, me or your classmate have been alive.

Any way you go about it, it's an ignorant generalization.

This is my life right now down to a T. These two frienRAB of mine both play guitar and rave about both of those guys, plus like Bonamassa. Stuff like that, at least to me, is just as generic and boring as listening to say, Nickelback (I try not to slam on Nickelback, but they're the best example of a generic formula band I can think of at the moment). I'm sure it's all technically amazing but to me it's just noise, there's no meaning to it.

What's up with the thread title? Was the OP just trying to intentionally be offensive or something?

Anyways, this topic has been discussed thousanRAB of times. Some people are going to explore music, some people are going to listen to boring, drab, accessible music.

So yesterday, my family was all listening to a piece that Purcell wrote, because I wanted them to hear it.

Then my dad wanted to hear "Ave Maria." Okay. That's fine. Beautiful, actually.

Then my sister, the teeny bopper of the WORLD, goes, "YOU KNOW THAT SONG BY BRITNEY SPEARS?!"

T.T

Then we had to listen to half her fricken album. I just walked away. It was the saddest thing ever...
