Oh no random pill count?

Someone we know just got called in for a random pill count at his pain management center. From what I understand. I think he's short. Said he had to give his dad 35 off the top, but he gets 180 perc a month and 30 morphine. He never makes it, but what will the drs do when he cones up short. How short can he be? He says he's going to go in and lie and say his sister took some. He's in pain management because the same thing happened with his pain doc. I would opt for honest, but what do they do,, cut you off completely or try to offer you detox..will they red flag him in any drs forever ? This guys life is about his pills so he wouldn't want detox. So what is the worst and best way they can treat him.. Pain management horror stories please
