Nokia C6 (C6-01) is a compact little number that will also sport an 8-megapixel camera though with a more pocket-friendly 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. The latter sporting the same Nokia ClearBlack technology as the E7, offering much improved outdoor visibility. Like the C7, this new device will also be a social networker?s dream with live feeds from your favorite social networks available on your home screen. The C6-01 will support microSD up to 32GB and capture HD video in 720p. Users can expect to see up to 17 days standby time and up to 11.5 hours talktime from the C6 battery.

Expected to be shipping before the end of 2010, the Nokia C6-01 will be available in silver or black and is estimated to retail at ?260 before taxes and subsidies.

The C7 is imported, the cheapest I have seen is 469. I bet the C7 will be C7x and released on AT&T that is why it won't retail here except for imports. The C6 might come though and it should be a fair amount cheaper.

Hmm, I'll be traveling soon and I'm tmepted to snag a C7-00 or C6-01 while abroad.

Anyone have past experience on whether warranty issues, if any, can be handled locally through nokia?

I think the warranty is only valid in the country of purchase.

Chatted with 2 Nokia sales reps in US, and one said availability in 1Q11 and the other said no information about releasing the phones in the US.

If nokia sells this device for more than 300 bucks in the US they will fail again. You can get a nokia e73 on ebay for 160 why would you spend 400 350 on this when meego its around the corner. On a positive note if this is 300 or less I wouldn't mind buying one and pass it to my mom if i don't like it she needs a n82 upgrade.

What's the difference in OS between the 00 and 01? I know the 01 has the 8mp camera and a few other things, but is the OS any different? I've got the C6-00. Ran about $245 on Amazon.

The C6-01 has Symbian S^3, penta band 3G, faster processor, capacitive screen, more ram and no physical keyboard. Except for the camera, the built in massmemory and the screen size it is basically identical to the N8.
