Official thread: C7

Probably very very close or even the same guts as the N8 internally minus the camera, HDMI and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a cheaper GPU in this one.

I've seen an E55 in person and that thing is tiny. I'm impressed if it's around the same size. This actually does look like a really good midrange phone, we'll just have to see if symbian^3 is lean enough to run for a day on that battery. I still think the front of the phone looks like a samsung though.

Recently got a E52 (E55 with alphanumeric) for my granfather, and yep, thats one seriously slim and tiny device especialy compared to my X10 and a 3GS. Sounds like the C7 is going to be the perfect upgrade for those coming from the popular 5800xm and want an upgraded mid-range smartphone. If its doing 720p then surely its using the same GPU as N8. Looking forward to seeing how the C7 and N8 do especialy during Xmas time, will be very interesting.

Overall is a nice looking device with some Samsungish look...Wonder if the screen is capacitive (I think so to support S^3 multitouch)

Agree, but nice for ROM, according to Forum Nokia the N8 is around 135mb of storage available for user, this is ~70mb less than the mini and 250mb less than the C7.

What do you mean by ROM? ROM is Read Only Memory. That would be where the OS is flashed or something. Why would there be free ROM listed anywhere? This number shown should be the shared memory for running applications, just like S60v5, right?

That is true for PC but in smartphones ROM has 2 factions: memory in which OS and other programs integrated in to OS are installed (on Nokia phones is D: and Z: can`t access these drives) and what memory is left is used to install additional apps by user, as cash for browser/messaging. So ROM is shared between OS and Apps.
C7 comes with 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM. After OS is installed with other apps you have 368MB ROM to install additional apps.

Or call it "internal storage".

I'd like to know what RM will be. If it's RM-675, it'll have complete NAM 3G.
