What you will need:
QPST
Samsung PST
Samsung PST Lite
Samsung U540dll
Samsung A950 USB Modem Driver
Cricket prl, unless you use the OTA method.

Once you have found all that, you'll be ready.

First, write the Cricket prl to the phone with QPST. If the phone isn't connecting right, turn it off and back on (it switches modes and ports when you do this). Also change the phone to Simple Ip. At he same time go to the PPP Config tab, then UN and AI tabs and change the password to cricket. You can change the usernames too, but you will be messing with that file in Samsung PST anyways.
Write to Phone.

Open Samsung PST Lite and choose the U540 dll
Go to settings and read the feature and IS-95/1x/1xEV-DO DATA settings from the phone.
Once it's done (takes a while) uncheck the feature settings and save as an MMC file. Then uncheck IS-95 and check the feature settings. Go to the feature settings and change the last option (Hidden Menu) to Enabled.
Click Write to phone.


Open Samsung PST
Go to the U540, then Settings, then open then check the IS-95/1x/1xEV-DO DATA settings. Open the file you just saved. Make the appropriate changes as follows:
MIP, SIP, and AN NAI: [email protected]
Save the MMC file again.

Back to Samsung PST Lite
Open the MMC file and write it to the phone.

Now on the phone, go to Menu, Settings, press #, enter the user code (last 4 of your phone nuraber) and edit the settings according to the U740 thread

PROXY IP USED= no
And change the hompepage in Common settings to something that will work like the cricket homepage or google.

MMS! Outgoing doesn't work, but incoming works right off the bat. Couldn't figure anything out on outgoing yet... maybe some help there.

Also going to try this on the Samsung U520

i dont take credit those are from the samsung steps on how to moderate/flash page ....

ok so the steps for all the samsung verizon phones work with mms.. im pretty sure ive done everything right and the darn mms is still not working!!!! and why again are we not aloud to get wap on these samsung phones??
the samsung steps work for allt he other ones but not this phone! why?
 
i have not had much luck using that dll to work on those types of phones and it might not work cause we dont have the right dll and also VZW might be doing more stuff to keep ppl from faslhing them, ill see if i can get one of these things so i can test it out.
 
ya worked on my u740 to though he said verizon blocked some things cuz they know were flashing them.... but the omnia just came out im trying to flash them with mms and wap i have alot to do
 
Yeah u540 dll dont work, but i910 (Omnia) dll is available if you search for it (DO NOT pm me askin where to find crap, you can find it just like I did).

SIP setting likes to revert on some models. Haven't figured out how to fix that for sure yet. But disabling nam lock with qxdm might work.

AN username reverts too and i have no ideas for that yet.

Working on MMS, I have internet after QPST/QXDM/SPST and connection setup in phone.
 
after mutiple tries i have come to the conclusion that the u540 dll just dont work after further testin i realize that i could read and set some settings wit qxdm spst and the u940 dll but all keep havin the mip to revert back to mip instead of staying sip which needless to say id frustrating
i will say that i got the phone to stay evdo just not get online well i will keep u updated as to my progress
 
I have the i910 dll and in qpst, I cant find where to change to simple ip, or the ppp config tab either. So in SPST i cant change any of the passworRAB, but I am able to change to Simple IP. Anybody
