to many of the ppl in this thread...prl files behave differently in different markets and depending on your home sid

your best bet is always to pull your local prl from a phone that has OTA'd one from then network in your market

hope this helps

i do have a 1078 which should be a market-independent EVDO non-roaming prl

i may slap that up later, or i may add it to corolada

I live in Denver and have paid for the nationwide plan, but my phone cannot *228 successfully (Sprint Touch Pro2 with PRL 1014 currently installed). Which PRL do I need for the nationwide roaming? Will it kill my internet access on my phone? Help, please!

i think the title says it all. i'm on htc incredible and phone shows 3g but won't access teh market. internet is working though. speed test 108kb on average. what is the correct prl for evdo houston?

does anyone know the best prl for cincinnati right now? I am on 6499 and it works well, just wondering if there are any better! Thx.

the PRL has nothing to do with it. Its the settings in the phone. The Phone is setup right but the apps are still trying to access the WAP without Crickets Proxy. Crickets Proxy is the only way to an actual connection. Other phones like the Hero and the Moto Droid require a custom Autostart.sh to be installed as well as autostart.apk to be installed properly in order to direct the Applications such as Market and GPS through crickets Proxy.

I am currently working on a fix for the incredible because those methods have failed for mine. Currently I have the phone branded to Cricket as much as I can but I am still unable to get the apps to access the WAP through the Proxy. I know its just a setting inside the phone. All it is is a file that has an area to input a wap.mycricket.com:8080 Proxy address and it will all work. But the problem is finding it. And lately there aren't any people willing to help.

Are you actually on a 6499 PRL or 6499 SID? Best thing I can suggest is to ditch it for the 1042 or 1050 PRL on the first page of this thread, and then *228. It should download all the proper info including the exact PRL for your service and location.

Its the 6499 PRL which is roaming I think, and I have tried 6399 (non roaming) also which was about the same. Sys id is 4391. This is on a flashed droid so OTA wont work.

OTA Will and DOES work. It doesn't matter if your on a flashed droid. I'm on a Incredible. OTA Works just fine, as long as the base PRL is 1042. OTA Works only if that PRL is there. If your on any other PRL OTA will not work. So everytime you change things you must go back to 1042 in order to get the new settings. Trust me on this. There is many threads involving this.
