I just talked to my friend Andre in the Ukrane. he gave me some more banRAB to check out. if anybody has any of this let me know. I've listened to some Subway to Sally and it was pretty good (but strange and not that heavy).

Subway to Sally is pretty good. You're right about them lacking many heavy elements.

You're friend probably means Skyclad too. Unless he meant Skyland (which is unlikely).
 
About the only folk I listen to is Borknagar, Ensiferum, Enslaved, Finntroll Wintersun, and I recall some Vintersorg from a thread a while back.

I heard Ihsahn is making a folk metal album right now. Don't know who else is gonna' be a part of it though.

so I found an album I have no idea where it came from because its on my laptop but since its russian or ukranian I guess its probably from that same guy. its mostly female vocals but its pretty cool

EDIT: just found some Schandmaul. its "Walpurgisnacht" the last time I heard anythign about Walpurga was years ago when I was studying satanism and paganism lol. I think they mention Walpurgisnacht in the satanic bible lol.

I'm from San Diego. I went to college in Portland and now I'm back in San Diego. This was during my sophmore year of high school at an Yngwie Malmsteen concert in LA. Some guy was wearing a shirt with Dark Funeral, Marduk, Belphegor and literally 30-40 other black metal band logos on it. He said it was went on in San Bernadino that year, so that must have been in 2001. I had never heard of it.
