There is nothing wrong with supporting your country, even if they have little to no chance of getting out of the group stage.

If you are only a soccer fan every four years, and believe the hype that Nike spun about the US team, then you might be "shocked" with them not advancing.
Anybody who knows anything about our national team knew that the USA was going to have to be very lucky to advance out of the group stage as soon as the draw was announced.
I'm only shocked at the lack of effort they showed.
