they would probably have a little bit more endurance. but, it's a much bigger advantage if you play at high altitude and someone comes to play you. there is less oxygen there so the players have to work harder.

im not talking about MARQUEE players.
its talent. the US midfield is awful, or at least was awful in their first match.
they either need to maximize the talent of the 4 they start, or start someone else.
midfield play is KEY to winning games, especially tight ones. If you have the ball longer than your opponent and have A goal, odds are you'll win.
Ask the dutch. the english. the brazilians. the germans.
All three of those teams make a LIVING controlling the pace of the game. if your midfielders turn the ball over and then cant get back to help the defense you will LOSE. there is NO other result. Costa Rica had 2 goals on 4 shots, which was great. Germany had 4 goals on 20. what does that tell you? Controlling the ball gives you more chances to score. more chances, more likely you are to get goals, most goals wins.
Its not rocket science. its not the media. its not anything that complicated.
watch the US game again, and see how many times the US gave up the ball stupidly in the midfield, and then really wonder how/why they lost.
