*OFFICIAL* Blame Zidane

definately not to blame AT ALL. he was shooting against his club teamate who knows exactly how he would normally shoot so he had to switch it up, and almost had it, not at all his fault. Zidane is a fuckup.

NO guarentees that if Zidane wasn't sent of France would have won.

If it wasn't for Zidane France wouldn't even be there IMO!

Plus it was fucking funny what he did

Zidane will be the center of discussion for years to come. No one has finished his career the way he has. You better not fuckin mess with Zidane, or else...

Zidane hurt his team's chances terribly with that disgraceful act, not because they'd miss him as player, because he is heart of the team. He lost control, he lost his cool, and that's not a good thing for france. I wouldn't feel right if I won a championship after someone did that. It'd be like Mario Lemieux slashing someone in the head in a Game 7 for the cup.

As an Die-Hard Italian Fan, it pains me to say that this wasn't Italy's best game. We played a fantastic first half - and it was downhill from there. Granted, we made few errors and played stellar defense.... though it seems we couldn't string together a series of more than 3 passes since the end of the first half. The first period of extra time was particularly awful.

Having said that, the only reason france stayed in this game is because of a penalty kick that barely made it in, which never should have been called (the player dived - he wasn't even touched by the Italian defense).

The refereeing overall was biased against Italy. I was very impressed with Italy's corner kicks, and France although dominant, failed to do much with their chances... and when they did, buffon was there.
