Me: 60gb PS3 + elmo

Friend: 60gb PS3 + elmo

at 2 AM i drove back to school to pick up a girl friend who was drunk and talked her into sitting in the cold with us. She did sooooo I also got a Wii preorder and another elmo.

Such a nuts night. I was barely in line really after I got there at 2 PM. Everyone in line agreed to be cool about shit. We got food, went to best buy, sports authority, slept in cars, left for a couple hours.

Real chill.

Anybody else have luck?
 
I didn't know about the free $10 gift card they had going if you spent $75 or more...Otherwise I would have gotten a Wii also.

Anyhow I somehow got 2 60GB's
 
well you must know how you "somehow" got it.

Did you bring a friend? Sister? Parent?

TRU doesn't allow the same person to preorder twice (not even Wii and PS3, it's either or)
 
I didnt even bother to stand in line. Got there at 7PM the night before and there were already 8 people in line. Didnt care about Elmo or Wii cause I was too pissed.
 
I dont know, not huge. I went to a city (Canton) near where I live cause Massillon doesnt even have a TRU. They have about 80,000 I'd say.

^If you're just going to keep one, how 'bout I buy it off you?? (hahahaha)
 
I got a ps3, wii, and 2 elmos. i was first in line and waited 26 hours. i think im going to list wii on ebay really soon. is that a good idea? any tips?
 
arrived there yesterday morning @ 8am, camped out for 26 hours total. was first in line, then next person came @ 11:30am. (so i wasted 3 hrs 30 mins that i coulda used on much needed sleep from the previous night, but its better to be safe than sorry plus everyone else came in a bunch after numbers 2,3) the staff and campers were all chill. they offered us pizza and drinks.

from the getgo i got there, they let me know how many of each they had.

6 ps3s (5 premium and 1 core) 5 Wiis (i think this number is low b/c employees were able to buy out like 10 the day before, thats what some of the employees told us. and about 65 elmos. (which later turned out to be 55)

while i was waiting in the morning, i saw a DHL truck drop off 2 cartfuls of elmos. anyways, we were allowed to buy 1 ps3, 1 wii, and 2 elmos.

so i did.

it was soooo damn cold in the early morning, but well worth it. can't wait for launch day. campout redux 2.

anyone know how elmos shipping and numbers are like?
 
Wow, I'm very disappointed we could not reserve both Wii and PS3.

We were told we could at first, then were told we couldn't. I don't fucking know why they love to lie to us.

First they said 6 PS3, then 8, then 7 20 gig an 1 60 gig, then 7 60 and 1 20, then only 7 60s, then 20 Wii, then 0 Wii, then that there were some and we could get both PS3 and Wii, then said we couldn't. They also said we could get 2 elmos, but ultimately only allowed 1.

So basically an employee came out ever hour and gave us completely different information. So basically we didn't listen to what the employees had to say.
 
thought i was gonna hit the line after clubbin at about 3am....turns out the line started at about 430pm....

drove past in the morn pissed i couldnt get a ps3 but waited for about 30mins in the car and managed to get 3 elmos

line was full of old people- the 7 people who stayed out there since the night before all had to be 30+

if anybody wants to trade an elmo for the ps3 pm me
 
I don't know why it's so suprising to some that people will be scalping the hottest items of the year during the holiday season.....
