Off Topic #13: Because it's not good to merge threads when you're sick

I caught it from a grandma who not only was coughing up but also has a bit of trouble walking at the moment due to a little accident.

Also an interesting coincidence that we both have rabbits in our avies.

Back to school on Monday. Scary how Spring Break went by fast.

Yeah, I heard about the whole Haiti earthquake. Crazy! Especially the picture on the front page on the newspaper that showed the bodies lying on the courtyard. Glad that your family has been accounted for. Didn't know that you had family there.

I was gonna respond in the thread about the whole Pat Robertson remark. For a split second, I had Pat Robertson and Fred Phelps (Westboro Baptist Church) mixed up. But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that church took a crack at it, horrible as it sounds.

First week of school was stressful, mostly because of the amount of books that were required. Twelve paperback books total!! (this doesn't count the additional four for my History/Screenwriting but for my two English classes) But at least they are paperbacks and not textbooks. Other than that, I'm enjoying the semester so far. Reading Volitare's Candide...the book itself is interesting. I recommend it. Even if it is a satire.

We're having great cool weather here, which is super so far!

By the way Caroline, I heard of the icicles popping up in Florida.

:look: I'm not pregnant. Never was. Unless if by some miracle, the fetus was super slow in developing since the last time I...er...got some was three years ago.

I just figured it's normal. Usually, I'd expect February to throw things off since it's usually the only one with the 28 days.

Most likely I had some sort of stomach problems. But on the upside, it's finally gone and I can eat normally.

:bawl: Two points and one question away from getting an A! Why do midterms and exams hate me??

How my teacher gave me a good grade for my oral report blunder is beyond me. And this is exactly why I can't be a teacher. :thud:

I don't know. I heard too many horror stories about that.

Vacationing. I love the summer weather since it was actually pretty cold. When I got back home, it was dry. I try to tell myself it's not as bad here compared to...um...Arizona.

I read a news article that said people are already starting to camp out for the premiere.

Caroline, did you make sure to whip out your camera to record that day for your baby book. "Baby Ashley's first cold." :P

Tina, not since the day my doctor swapped some of my parts for mechanical parts. So therefore, I'm part cyborg. Just need to get used to the feeling of shooting out fireballs from my fingertips. :P I've updated my profile to reflect that.

But yes, it's the second time in my lifetime that I pulled it off (the first one as far back as 2007).

I feel bad for my grandma. First her brother passed away, now turns out her sister suffered a stroke and passed away as well the other day. It's crazy. One person in the family is dying each month. :blank:

Oh gosh - I thought only Ashley's uncles thought about those sort of things. Try holding the baby while you're sitting down and you'll see it's not that bad. ;)

How did it go?

But I have that fear of me dropping the baby. :( I'm not letting that on my conscience.

Although I almost made my cousin touch the ceiling fan while carrying him on my shoulders. Luckily, the ceiling fan wasn't on.

Memorial Day was so-so. Tomorrow, I have to call to see if I have to show up for the Jury Duty interview. If I get picked, I hope it's a criminal case.

It's a sort of dark fairy tale-esque sort of story about a half breed demon who has the ability to change those she desires in to dolls since she feeds and craves off of having company. Combined that with her state of mind, she is often unstable if not vulnerable.

Originally I was going to write an "imaginary friend seeking out revenge and to claim its creator" but I couldn't get off after the first two scenes. The doll story is actually a personal project I'm working on in hopes of having the story published in a book.

Even if they make great babysitting help. Still. :look:

As far as time frame goes...maybe before I hit thirty years max. Times are hard sometimes. But I know I can't stay in my house forever.

I'm back, though dead tired. I even felt fatigued all afternoon and going to a sushi bar did not help perk me up a little.

Quite interesting coincidence. I got sick since yesterday but it came full blown this afternoon.
