Of the Ten Commandments, which is broken most often?

I suspect it's the prohibition against stealing. It's amazing how many people have the attitude that it's OK to take something that does not belong to you without permission if its value is (subjectively) insignificant. For example: how many people steal office supplies? I'd guess well over 50% of the population.

for non christians and jews alike it has to be said that lying is the worst sin.
however, i might argue for idolatry. if all religions are wrong except ONE church, then all are guilty

I would think it is not loving thy neighbor. We are a judgmental society.
Either that or covering what is thy neighbor's. A lot of "keeping up with the Jonses" going on.

Just an opinion.
