ODEON - The Gallery - Is it worth it?

What is the "Gallery"?

From the moment you open the star emblazoned doors of The Gallery you'll realise you're about to experience something very special. Begin your evening by relaxing in the exclusive bar before going through to the licensed auditorium. Slide into the luxurious large seats and enjoy your film with drinks from the bar and complimentary refreshments. All that and the best view in the house.

The Gallery, which is available to over 18's only, can be experienced at the following ODEON cinemas: Greenwich, Maidenhead, Manchester, Cardiff and Norwich.

What is included in the price of a "Gallery" ticket?
The Gallery is an over 18s only area where you can relax in the exclusive Gallery Bar area before or after the movie. You can help yourself to unlimited free soft drinks, tea/coffee, popcorn or nachos. Once you are ready to watch your chosen film, you will find extra wide comfortable seats with a small table for your food and drink. SounRAB about right what you are saying about the drinks....
To be honest just wanted to go because its been there for a while now and I have never been. The seating is supposed to be a lot better thats what drawn me to it...

I must admit I haven't been to one - I did the same as you and looked up the web site. I just think that charging a substantial premium for better seats and "free" snacks is wrong - maybe their analysis is that there is a small potential market for more exclusive facilities so they would rather charge a very high price to a few customers than give everyone better seats and charge a fair price.
 
Personally I wouldnt want an alchoholic drink before seeing a film. I would spend most of the film going to the loo! AfterwarRAB perhaps, but not before.
 
I enjoyed using the gallery a while back, but recently heard our local odeon was being strict on the 'unlimited' snacks and soft drinks so haven't bothered spending the money to go up there.
 
What were the seats like? From the looks of the seating plan there are sofas and single person chairs. Is this right?

Also, whats the free snacks? Coke and popcorn?

In some cinemas there's a bar where you can buy drinks to take in. That's better because you can drink something you like, maybe a glass of wine or a bottle of decent beer, at your own pace whilst watching the film. You can usually get a decent cup of coffee or tea which is better if it's a matinee.

I'd rather do that than drink freezing cold fizzy pop.
